Latest Building Jobs

February 2010 - Mark refitted a large galley kitchen including floor. He bricked up the window and relocated it to the other side of the room.

Along the way problems arose as a gas pipe was found to be leaking from inside a wall cavity and a dangerous lintel was discovered. Both these issues were swiftly dealt with and as you can see from the images below a complete transformation has taken place.

Existing kitchen Swap window to other side of kitchen Fit new lintel Plastered
Old Kitchen Remove Window Fit new lintel as existing support was found to be dangerous Walls plastered, electric sockets wired, kitchen going in. Window now relocated to opposite side of room for 30% more light.
Not really sure that we have to say more.... No we have not widened the kitchen, just by utilising existing space can extremelely expand a living area within your home...

January - February 2010 - Downstairs toilet / washroom ripped out and divided with a stud wall with a 2 part sliding door and cupboard for extra storage. All plumbing was sunk into the wall to hide the water pipes. Also the waste pipe is hidden and is piped outside to drain in order to keep things very tidy and modern as per the kitchen above.

December 2009 - Mark is completely redesigning a bathroom in the same area by stripping out the existing bathroom, fitting a complete new bathroom suite, a new floor, a new stud wall, jacuzzi and wet room. The whole room will be tiled in various sizes. Images to follow.

Where the wetroom is was a simple corner bath with laminate flooring throughout. New sink, toilet and towel radiator has also been fitted to the bathroom along with removing the old tiles and plastering to make the walls good. A window was also removed to give the area where the bath is the hotel look and feel of pure luxury.

A low voltage fan in the wetroom keeps the steam out of the bathroom and fully regulated, sealed watertight lighting is used in the wetroom and bathroom area.

Fine attention to detail was an important requirement and it certainly paid off in this luxury bathroom.

During November 2009 Mark has completed many handyman jobs while building a garage conversion to a contemporary office in the Poolhouse estate from within Wombourne.
